Sunday Lunch: Bolognese


We normally eat out after church but yesterday we decided to just go home and have a home-cooked meal. I decided to cook some bolognese and a simple pita pizza. Let's talk about the bolognese first.

You need:


Spaghetti
Minced beef
Chopped bacon
Garlic
Onions
Tomato sauce
Banana ketchup
Salt and pepper
Olive oil

Let's do this!


Cook the spaghetti according to package directions.

Saute the chopped garlic and onions in olive oil. Add the bacon and wait for it to cook. Add the minced beef. Mix and cook until brown. At this point I like to season with a little bit of salt and pepper. Add the tomato sauce and ketchup. Simmer for 5 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings. Add the cooked spaghetti and mix well. Top with some chopped parsley.
