It was the end of the week and we were running out of ingredients. We had half a bag of beans in the ref and a can of corned beef so I asked MB to cook them together in a soup.

It’s a normal thing for us Filipinos to combine canned food with whatever’s leftover in the fridge and make them into a soupy dish. This extends the food portion so every member of the family can eat. Even families with good income do this as it has been a way of life.
We also had fried chicken with this. I think fried chicken will forever be in our weekly menu as long as my husband is in-charge of cooking. = )
