Bangus Bistek

I've started incorporating more seafood into our diets. I am over my allergies (although I still get the occasional itch and wheals when I eat too much). I love seafood. If I could, I would eat it every single day with different kinds of vegetables. But alas, man cannot live on seafood alone. One needs a balanced diet in order to become healthy.

Today I will share with you one easy seafood recipe that you can prepare in just a few minutes. It's fast, delicious and very satisfying. Try it!

You need

Boneless bangus ( I use Century bangus, not marinated)
oil for frying
garlic
onions, sliced into rings
tomato
soy sauce
juice from 1-2 calamansi
pepper
water

Let's do this!

Fry the bangus. You can cut them up into serving pieces if you want to. It also cooks faster this way. Set aside. In the same pan, saute the tomatoes until the juices come out. Add the garlic and onions. In a bowl, add the water, soy sauce and calamansi juice. Stir. Return the bangus into the pan. Pour the sauce and season with pepper. Let the mixture boil then lower heat to simmer for around 3 minutes. Serve with rice.
