Chicken and Beans in Honey Sauce

Happy New Year, everyone!  Today is a slow day for me so I've decided to blog. Today's recipe is a simple one. I used leftover ingredients for this dish.

Chicken and Snake Beans in Honey Sauce

Chicken
  • 4 quail egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon potato starch
  •  salt
  •  boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-size portions
For the Honey Sauce
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons stevia
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey
For Stir-frying
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • green beans, ends trimmed

Let's do this!

1. Mix all the ingredients for the chicken then coat each chicken piece well. Set aside.
2. Prepare the other ingredients.
3. In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the sauce. Set aside.
4. Heat some oil. Fry the chicken pieces. Set aside.
5. Heat some oil in a wok. Fry the garlic until fragrant. Add the snake beans. Stir-fry on high heat for 1 minute. Add the chicken. Toss well.
6. Add the sauce and lower heat to simmer. When the sauce is thick, your dish is done. Serve with rice.

We loved this dish. The chicken was still a bit crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. The sauce made everything come together.
