We recently went to Baguio. I love Baguio. It's my 2nd home, my sanctuary. We've been there thrice in the last 6 months. On our first night there when we arrived, we ate at Central Park Chinese Restaurant.
I wasn't able to take a photo of the interiors because it was packed! Lots of tables inside occupied by families. You only see a few locals in. It was past 8pm when we went there. There is ample parking but the restaurant is always packed so it can get tricky during meal rushes.
Here's what we ordered.
Siomai. My sister said that the siomai is very good. It was my first time to eat there. They've already tried this resto before.
I tasted it and it was really good! I can't remember the shrimp though. I also like the fact that there are no nasty ligaments (litid in Filipino). But I only ate 2 so I don't know about the others. It works perfectly well with soy sauce and calamansi but can stand on its own, too.
Rating: 5/5. Would definitely order this again.
Crispy pata. I requested this because I saw the other table order it and it looked so good! And it was! The meat itself is not hard to chew. That garlic on top was chef's kiss. It goes soooo good with the meat. It doesn't need a sauce or sawsawan. Too bad I can't eat a lot of it because it will give me reflux. The skin wasn't crispy though but also not chewy. Well, some parts were a little chewy and some were just plain tough. It looks big but this portion that we got was mostly bone. This is great for a family meal.

Yangchow fried rice. Yes, I like this! It's not too heavy like other yangchow fried rice in other Chinese restos. But then again, I only took a small amount because I already ate some wanton noodle soup. But this is not oily and has the right ratio of rice and toppings. The rice is fluffy too and the serving is big, enough for a family of 4 or more.

Lumpiang Shanghai. This was crunchy and the filling tasted very similar to the siomai but with a slight twist. I'm very picky with lumpiang shanghai and I'd have to say that I didn't like this. The taste was too strong for me. It was so umay. The sauce accompanying is just sweet, too sweet.
Rating: 2/5. Too much, especially if you're eating other dishes.
This is the Shanghai Fried Rice that we never got to taste. I told my sister to not to order this anymore as we ordered the crispy pata but I guess she forgot. Anyway, we gave it to our bestie guard in the hotel.
This was the wanton noodle soup that everyone shared. Sis put a small amount into smaller bowls but gave the most to my son. It was good. The flavor is right - nice and comforting especially after a tiring road trip from Manila. We brought our car so the trip took longer than a bus trip with all the rest stops.
I'm not a huge fan of the noodles though, a bit tough. And the wanton I got a hard piece of cartilage.
Rating: 3/5
Sweet and Sour Fish. I didn't like this at all. It was just sweet. No salt, no sour. The breading on the fish was floury especially on the edges. It wasn't mixed very well.
Rating: 1/5
We also ordered a pitcher of iced tea that needed more ice but it was good enough to balance out the rich flavors of the dishes we ordered.
As with most Chinese restos, the umay factor is high. It's that typical Chinese food where you feel full fast and then get hungry again quickly, too.
There is a PWD ramp but its for walking. A wheelchair won't fit there especially if the parking is full. I noticed this because my sister and I are both injured. She has an immobilizer on and walks with crutches. I walk with a quad cane.
Pricewise, the food was affordable. A lot of it was good and decent. So, yes, I recommend this resto for your next Baguio adventure. Too bad they're not on Grab Food.
I look forward to eating their siomai again.
