They always have those very helpful and inspiring quotes on their packaging
I'm gonna say it outright. Raquel's Forest House is our favorite restaurant in Baguio. We haven't eaten in the actual resto but we've had food delivered plenty of times. On our last trip, we ordered twice from them. I forgot to take photos of our first order but here's the second.
We ordered nilagang baka. The meat was so tender and there was hardly any ligament or tendon. There was a ton of potatoes! And they are always very generous with the soup. The soup is placed in a separate container.
The broth was light and comforting. Perfect for Baguio weather vibes. It had the perfect amount of saltiness. It still has flavor even after you pour it over rice. There were so much potatoes that we had a lot of leftovers.
Second order was this mango kani salad with strawberry dressing.
This was a big serving. I ordered this for my late evening snack (as I need to eat every 2 hours). I wasn't able to finish it though, but it was still good the next morning for breakfast! We didn't have a fridge in the room so I just put this near the AC. The greens are perfect - fresh and crunchy. The mangoes were a little sour. The kani was a bit tough for my taste. The strawberry dressing was also sour. It could have benefitted from salt and sugar too. I'd also put pepper on this salad. But that's just me.
PRO TIP
When traveling with family and kids, pack some paper plates and disposable utensils. They're a life saver for family-sized orders. Most restaurants don't send these even for a family order. It makes meal times more comfortable and easy to clean up.
