One of our favorite stops at SM Baguio is The French Baker. I know we have it in Manila, but there's no French Baker with a restaurant branch near my place, so this is always a treat.

For this lunch, my son ordered the Hamburger Steak. According to the menu, this should come with corn and carrots, but we're allergic, so I told them not to add it anymore.
The mashed potato is good. We already had it the last time we ate there in March. The texture is nice, soft, and no chunks. The gravy complemented the burger very well. However, the burger itself was a big disappointment! It had lots of tendons (litid) in it! Even in their Megamall branch, the beef also had lots of tendons!
I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu. According to the menu, it's deep fried roulade of flattened chicken with butter and cheese, encrusted in seasoned sourdough bread crumbs with your choice of gravy or creamy herb sauce and sided with seasonal vegetables and steamed rice. The side they were going to give was corn and carrots, so I opted out and told them to change it to mashed potatoes instead.
The sourdough crumbs were really sour and the cheese they used was so sharp! It hurt my tongue, so I just removed the crust and doused the chicken in gravy. I got more gravy from my son's plate.
We will still keep eating there, but will avoid these two dishes.
