One day before shopping, my sister told us to just have brunch at the University of the Philippines. As you may know, my son and I are night owls, so we always do brunch.
I wanted to share with you the food, the experience, and those crazy fun names that the staff give to their dishes! They always made me smile (or laugh) whenever I read them. I will not translate them to English as the humor will be lost.

Bicol Express is a spicy Bicol dish made with pork and coconut milk
We ordered this. At first, my tastebuds were confused. But as I ate it, I found the flavors satisfying. It was creamy due to the coconut milk. I wasn't able to taste the pineapple though as that went to my son's plate. I will try to recreate this dish soon.

This is Filipino chicken curry made with coconut milk. I guess coconut milk was the day's theme. I wish I could've tasted this, too, but we were going shopping and I didn't want an unexpected upset stomach.
This is another interesting pork dish in tomato sauce that I would love to try in the future.
We ordered takeaway because my sister's staff cooked some afritada for us. I didn't want to eat tomato sauce first thing that's why I ordered a buffer dish for me and my son.
The afritada was delicious! Thank you Da! She even packed some for us for dinner that night.
I also enjoyed our family meal at the office pantry. It's rare that I get to be with my mom and sis.
Mom got yema cake for my sister. I didn't taste this as I'm not a huge fan of cakes.
