Some days I don’t want to cook… but I also don’t want to order. This is what I make when I want something warm, savory, and done in under 15 minutes.
Bulgogi is one of my comfort foods. Traditional bulgogi takes longer to make. And I don’t have the luxury of doing things longer especially with a full daily schedule and limited energy.
But I really love bulgogi and it’s one of those no-brainer dishes for me. And one of those included in my “Cook Fast” Repertoire.
My secret? I use thin cuts of beef.
I don’t have to marinate for a long time. I don’t have to wait several hours for the beef to thaw. I take the tray out the freezer and put it under running water then add the marinade.
I don’t overthink it. And you know that I don’t measure. I add the ingredients that feel right at that time.
A little sweetness…a little sauce. The key is balance.
I don’t follow a recipe when I make this. I just know when it’s right.
And if you’re wondering if it’s good… this was all that was left.
