Baguio Food Adventures 2025: Luxcious Cafe

This is a part of my Baguio 2025 Series. We have complimentary tickets to a breakfast buffet in our hotel, but my son and I decided not to use them on our first morning there because we wanted to sleep in. The breakfast is from 6:30 am to 10 am only, but you have to be there early because they don't restock food at around 9 am anymore. To find what's good in Baguio, I normally enter a dish on Grab and then check the restaurants with the most star ratings. One of those restos was Luxcious Cafe. Here's what we got: Tocino meal Mango Waffles Corned beef meal Let's break it down. Pork tocino meal. The egg is nicely done in both meals. The tocino is soft and sweet. That's it. No other flavor aside from sweet. The fried rice was good, more flavorful than the tocino. I like the fact that they put vegetable bits in there to make the meal more filling. My sister introduced me to Amira's Ube Halaya when we went to Tagaytay a few weeks back. She said that I should try it. Smooth, light, and delicate without being overly rich, it’s the kind of halaya you can enjoy generously, spoon after spoon. Baguio Adventures 2025: Good Shepherd Haul and a Review

The only things I buy from Good Shepherd are Ube and Strawberry Jam. The Strawberry Jam was out of stock and I saw these ube crinkles so I got them. My sister also asked me to buy Snowballs for her. I haven't tasted those yet but she says they're her favorite. Have you tried Snowballs? If you have, I'd love to hear from you. Drop your comment below. Here are the ube crinkles. They taste like gata (coconut milk). The taste is very overpowering. It's also too sweet for me. The texture is good, just like how a good crinkle should be. But as you can see, the sizes are not uniform. I'd have to say this is not for me.
