Since we’re on the subject of easy meals, I thought I’d write about these two products next. I only realized today that I have so many posts that are waiting to be shared! 2025 has been so hard for me financially and career-wise, but 2026 only started and has already been one blessing after another. I am grateful.
So, on with the show. Zanuy nachos are a constant favorite in the house. They’re light, crunchy (not hard on my gums), and have the right amount of saltiness that I like.
I prepared chili con carne that day for lunch.
I ate it with rice, but my boy enjoyed it as is. But I think he had rice for round 2. π
That big Zanuy bag is also very affordable.
Nacho King
Nacho King is a local nachos brand. They were very popular during the late 1990s, early 2000s, if I’m not mistaken. We used to buy a lot of these before we went to the movies or when I’m with friends, cousins, and out on dates.
They closed their stores and focused on bottled salsa and packed nachos.
I like their Beefy Salsa. It doesn’t actually contain a lot of beef. I think there’s also jicama in there for crunch, I’m not sure. I like this because it’s not spicy. I react to spicy food. My son can eat this, too. He really likes it and can down an entire bottle if I don’t monitor his portions.
I like reheating it and then pouring pizza cheese all over.
And if I’m not mistaken, the chips below are Nacho King brand, too! They’re also very good, less salty that Zanuy chips. These are thicker though, so I chew gently and carefully.
For Lent, skip the beef and just eat salsa and chips if you’re off meat. These are great snacks to take on vacation. Just bring small disposable bowls or plates so everyone can have their chips and salsa portions. If you’re on a BnB, even better, because you can reheat the salsa and melt some cheese!

’Til our next shared bite,
