Japanese Snack Review: Kameda Age Ichiban Shoyu Rice Crackers

If you've been following me for a while, you know I love Japanese food, so naturally I would gravitate towards Japanese snacks. Japanese rice crackers are a staple in my bentos like this one:

This particular rice cracker is Kameda Age Ichiban. It contains honey and soy sauce so don't give this to a 1-year old to avoid botulism. Actually, don't give this to a child aged 4 and below. Choking hazard.

It's fried so it's very crunchy. Too crunchy sometimes that if you're not careful, it will scrape your hard palate, which has happened to me. So what I do is I crack it into smaller pieces and pop them in my mouth one by one.

The taste is like most Japanese crackers in the market. But I remember, the first time I tried it, I didn't like it. It's on the 4th or 5th bite that I appreciated the taste. If you're not used to Japanese rice crackers, this might take some getting used to.

Pricewise,  I'm pretty sure it's affordable because I distinctly remember that I was on a budget that day. Maybe Php100+.

Would I buy this again? Not for a while. I'd like to rotate snacks and there are other Japanese snacks out there I'd like to try.
