Soft Luxe Flavors: Tagaytay - Rosario, Pamanang Panlasa Restaurant Review

We visited Rosario Pamanang Panlasa (formerly Josephine's) in Tagaytay. I wrote about the whole trip in my beauty, fashion, and lifestyle blog , if you'd like to read that. I also showed pictures of the restaurant, the view, and more. In this post, we will talk solely about the food. Before we sat down, we had a bit of a problem. My sister was using crutches as she has an incomplete fracture of the knee and the hostess who accompanied her suggested a table that would make her go down a set of stairs. 🤦‍♀️ Really? Fortunately, our server (whose name escapes me at the moment), was a star! He anticipated all of our needs and promptly catered to our requests. Here's what we ordered: Lumpiang Shanghai I only tasted one lumpiang Shanghai as I'm not a huge fan, so I'd rather not go deep into this. It was alright, but not for me. Sinigang na Salmon Belly sa Miso This was our favorite and the star of the table, hands down. There was a lot of salmon belly, as you c...

Baguio Country Club Cheese Bread

My sister went to Baguio, Ifugao, etc. last week. She brought home a bunch of goodies including this: It’s supposed to be a cheese bread but it’s filled with walnuts and dried fruit. It’s like a fruit cake inside. I didn’t like this. I like sweet and savory but this was just terrible. I like dried fruits as my grandma makes a mean fruitcake and she uses the same ingredients. I just didn’t appreciate this. It really tasted weird for me. The filling just does not go with the bread.

Baguio Adventures 2025: Good Shepherd Haul and a Review

The only things I buy from Good Shepherd are Ube and Strawberry Jam. The Strawberry Jam was out of stock and I saw these ube crinkles so I got them. My sister also asked me to buy Snowballs for her. I haven't tasted those yet but she says they're her favorite. Have you tried Snowballs? If you have, I'd love to hear from you. Drop your comment below. Here are the ube crinkles. They taste like gata (coconut milk). The taste is very overpowering. It's also too sweet for me. The texture is good, just like how a good crinkle should be. But as you can see, the sizes are not uniform. I'd have to say this is not for me. Price List (as of writing) Ube Jam - Php350 (limited to 2 per person) Snowballs - Php310 (limited to 1 per person) Ube Crinkles - Php240 Good Shepherd Convent CJCG+P69 Gibraltar Road, Baguio City, Benguet If you want to learn more about our Baguio Adventure, check out: My Quest for the Perfect Travel Bag Why You Should Always Pack a Red Lipstick When You ...
