Baguio Country Club Cheese Bread

My sister went to Baguio, Ifugao, etc. last week. She brought home a bunch of goodies including this: It’s supposed to be a cheese bread but it’s filled with walnuts and dried fruit. It’s like a fruit cake inside. I didn’t like this. I like sweet and savory but this was just terrible. I like dried fruits as my grandma makes a mean fruitcake and she uses the same ingredients. I just didn’t appreciate this. It really tasted weird for me. The filling just does not go with the bread.

On our way back from Baguio, we stopped by a Shell Select for coffee for our driver and my family. I don't drink coffee, so my son and I perused the aisles for interesting finds. This is something I like doing in convenience stores, rest stops, groceries, and supermarkets. When I first saw the box, I already felt this wasn’t your typical neighborhood bakery cheese pie. The packaging alone—clean white, elegant gold accents, and that little window showing the golden top—makes it look like something you’d proudly bring to a family gathering or gift to a friend. A First Taste We got home around 1 am, if I remember correctly. My son and I were hungry and the simplest thing to prepare is instant ramen. Lady E Tastes: Peanuts X Choctim Crispy and Tasty Bagel Bites Review

We went to KKV on our Binondo Staycation . I'm telling you guys, that place is a Wasteland! That's what I call stores like Daiso, Mumuso, etc. that have so much stuff that drain my wallet! They have so much food items there. Just check the link to see. I was mostly drawn to the Peanuts collab items though. Like this one: My son and I love bagels, so we thought we'd try this: First bite, I got hit with its buttery and garlicky goodness. It really does taste like garlic bread, but in crunchy form. It's not too salty. It's just right. Both the butter and garlic taste linger in the mouth, but moreso with the garlic. There's very little in the pack. That's everything in the bowl. I was only able to eat a few pieces. My son wiped it out. 😆 I can't remember how much this costs, I think it's a little over Php100 ($1.72). Some pieces are tougher to chew than others, so if you have sensitive teeth and gums, just pass on this snack. Will we buy it agai...
